Sunday was 🌑🌑🌑
It was ◼️◼️◼️
It was a river and a waterfall and a long rainstorm but not the kind that carry you gently or lull you to sleep. It was flat on the floor and every inch of the inside coming out. But maybe that was the last of it.

My head feels full in a way I always hoped it would.

It is warmer and lighter longer and some things could have pierced me today but didn’t manage to. Maybe I am feeling nothing, or maybe the warmth and light make it all a little more bearable. Insert Jennifer Egan quote here.

Being 24 is…the feeling that you could be everything and that you will be nothing, all at once; it is feeling like there is a lifetime ahead of you and that you are running out of time.

These were yesterday but that’s okay. Here is what I want to remember from today: “I want to be your safe place.” And thinking, that is already true. Also, watching Frozen, a beautiful stuffed bunny, staring at the ocean and finally feeling like the world is mine again.
it didn’t matter that they were girls;

whoops it’s been two weeks but understandably - girl in the hospital, chaos following and at work, a week spent sitting still with her and letting everything feel still. “you are the best thing that ever happened to me. these have been my best memories.”
I don’t know how and when I will figure out how and when to be me and what that even means - a time to write or think or do something important to me. Of course it is all important, but you know what I mean.
